Mina ledare 1987 (2008)
The images in the work My leaders 1987 (2008) depict male pastors from the Swedish Pentecostal revival movement the in the pulpit from two large christians conferences; Nyhemsveckan and Lapplandsveckan. The pictures are titled after the men's first names; JACK-TOMMY, OWE, BO-ANDERS, etc. and are photographed in 1987 when I worked as a photographer for the daily newspaper Dagen owned by the pentecostal movement. They were then my leaders, idols and role models. Much later, I have looked them up from my archive and transformed the men into some kind of photographic objects that I can control and arrange. For me it’s as a rereading and reprogramming of a physical and mental image archive.
